Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm presently a soldier in the US Army Engineer Regiment and somewhat amateur military historian. I've been intrigued by the SADF/SANDF history around the time of the Border War for a few years and have recently finished 32 Battalion by Piet Nortje.
My hobbies include running, surfing, swimming, reading literature and history, and watching films and documentaries.
It's quite impressive how South African designed vehicles (MRAPs) are saving countless lives of my fellow soldiers out in Iraq and Afghanistan so my props to designers and engineers in South Africa.
